How We Formulated Absorble, and Why It Took as Long as It Did
Share
Absorble started in a hospital bed. Here's the real story: why liposomal vitamins were the first supplement I actually stuck with, and why I couldn't stop thinking about them afterwards.
Started in a hospital bed, of all places
I'd just come out of surgery. I was run down, and my consultant told me I needed to get my nutrient levels up, fast. He prescribed liposomal vitamins. Not the capsules you pick up at the pharmacy, but a liposomal liquid, designed to protect nutrients on their way through digestion.
I was sceptical. I'd tried vitamins before. I'd felt nothing.
Sceptical, then convinced
For the first time, I took a supplement every day without forgetting, and I felt better for it. I couldn't stop thinking about it.
I wondered why, if liposomal delivery was this good to take, nobody was selling it in a way that felt approachable and modern. I wondered why the supplement industry kept selling capsules and tablets without explaining how much of what you swallow your body actually absorbs. I wondered why nobody had made something that actually tasted good, fitted into a normal morning, and worked properly.
So I built it.
A wild start
I found a formulation partner, spent months getting the absorption right, and landed on a mango-flavoured liposomal liquid that genuinely tastes like something you want to take. Not because taste is the point, but because a habit only sticks if you actually enjoy it.
Before we launched, I started telling people what I was building. The response made it pretty clear I wasn't the only one who'd been let down by supplements. This is for anyone who's given up on vitamins before. I was one of you.
Why absorption is the whole point
Absorble uses liposomal delivery, a technology first developed in medicine, to wrap nutrients in microscopic phospholipid layers similar to your own cell membranes. In clinical testing, our liposomal delivery has shown up to 5x better absorption than a standard capsule. A separate study by our manufacturer found up to 12x higher absorption for liposomal vitamin C specifically. That study was run by the manufacturer, has not been independently peer-reviewed, and applies to vitamin C only, not the whole formula. Every dose is on our ingredients page.
Why we do things differently
Wellness shouldn't require a spreadsheet. Absorble is one thing, taken once a day, in the time it takes to pour a spoonful. I'll tell you exactly what's in it, exactly how it works, and exactly what the science says, no overclaiming, no hiding behind vague wellness language.
We're a small brand with a big proof point. That's enough for me.
If you're curious about the science behind the absorption claims, we've gone into more detail in liposomal vitamins, explained, and you can read more about me on the founder page.
